What to Film for Your Video Editor

Good editing starts with usable clips. You do not need a camera crew. A few habits make a big difference to the final video.
Film vertical
Hold your phone upright and use the back camera when you can. Wipe the lens first. Clean the background before you press record.
Find soft light
Face a window or a soft lamp. Avoid strong light behind you. Keep the same light for before and after shots, so the comparison is fair.
Record clean sound
Sound matters as much as the picture. A small clip-on microphone is a good low-cost upgrade. Turn off loud music and fans while you talk.
Give your editor options
Film a little longer than you need. Say your main point twice if the first take feels off. Add close-ups of hands, products, and the room. These short shots keep a video moving.
Get consent first
Always get written patient consent before filming or posting. Keep it on file with the patient record.
